Dear Chapter members,
Fall is here and things seem to be slower than that of the fast pace
months of summer. I hope that you were all able to get out and
enjoy the great weather with your families and friends.
The annual summer BBQ was great. We had some amazing steaks,
chicken, Dutch oven potatoes, cheese cake, salad, Cabala’s gift
cards and Victoria’s Secret lotions. (The company wasn’t too bad
either) If you didn’t attend, you missed out. We would like to thank
all of those that helped out and made it a great success.
I look foreword to our monthly training. The opportunity to rub
shoulders with each of you and have a meal together is something
that I enjoy. As I look at the upcoming classes that are scheduled,
I’m excited. We have some good classes that we should all plan on
attending. This month Bob Ek of American Gypsum will be presenting
the AIA approved course "Understanding and Using the Fire Resistance
Design Manual (GA-600)" on September 21, 2011. The presentation
lasts right at 1 hour and he will be providing copies of the 19th
Edition of the Fire Resistance Design Manual for those who need an
update one. (This was a last minute change for scheduling issues.)
Once again, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve you in the
capacity of President of the Beehive Chapter. I think that we have
some good things happening and that is because of your participation
and involvement. Keep up the good work.
.
Sincerely, Chris
Swenson
